Hire a local driver to explore Split, the Dalmatian islands, national parks, and the Croatian coastline. Your driver handles the traffic, parking, and local knowledge while you enjoy the ride.
Split is Croatia's second city and the gateway to the Dalmatian islands, but it's also a traffic bottleneck. The old town sits on a peninsula with almost no parking, the coastal road south to Omiš is single-lane in stretches, and the motorway towards Zagreb regularly queues at the Dugopolje interchange. In summer, finding parking near Diocletian's Palace can take 30+ minutes.
With a private driver, you skip all of this. Get dropped at the Riva promenade, picked up after lunch at Marjan Hill, and driven to Krka National Park or Trogir without worrying about GPS, tolls, or the narrow mountain roads towards the interior.
Split is also the natural starting point for multi-stop day trips that would be exhausting to self-drive: think Krka waterfalls in the morning, Šibenik old town for lunch, and Primošten for a sunset swim. Or head south towards Omiš canyon for some rafting, then continue to Makarska for dinner on the beach.
Each itinerary is fully customisable. Tell your driver what interests you and they'll adjust on the fly.
Krka's Skradinski Buk waterfall is one of Croatia's most iconic sights — a series of 17 cascading pools you can walk right up to (swimming was banned in 2021, but the boardwalk experience is still magical). Your driver drops you at the Lozovac entrance, waits while you explore, then takes you to Šibenik to see the UNESCO-listed Cathedral of St. James, built entirely of stone without a single wooden beam. If time allows, the fishing village of Primošten on its tiny peninsula makes a perfect sunset stop.
Klis Fortress sits dramatically on a cliff above Split — it held off the Ottoman Empire for decades and was used as Meereen in Game of Thrones. Below it, the Kaštela Riviera is a string of seven small towns with medieval castles, far quieter than Split's beaches. Trogir is a UNESCO town on its own tiny island, connected by bridge, with a Romanesque cathedral and labyrinth of stone alleyways. Have lunch on the Trogir waterfront and watch the sailing boats.
The drive from Split to Mostar follows the Neretva River through dramatic gorges and past roadside fruit stalls selling pomegranates, figs, and homemade rakija. Stop at the medieval fortress village of Počitelj, swim under Kravica Waterfalls, then spend the afternoon in Mostar walking the Stari Most bridge, browsing the copper bazaar, and trying Bosnian ćevapi. Your driver knows which side streets have the best food and which shops are tourist-price.
Your driver takes you to the Drvenik ferry terminal (avoiding Split's Jadrolinija queues), crosses to Stari Grad on Hvar, and drives you across the island. Stop at the UNESCO Stari Grad Plain — the oldest continuously cultivated landscape in Europe — then Hvar Town for lunch on the harbour. In June/July, the interior is carpeted in lavender. This combines the freedom of a car with island exploration, which is almost impossible by public transport.

Yes. Your driver can take you to the ferry terminal or, for islands connected by bridge or short crossing (like Čiovo/Trogir), drive you directly. For Hvar or Brač, the driver boards the ferry with you so you have a car on the island too.
It's doable but long — about 3.5 hours each way. We recommend starting very early (6am departure) or combining it with a drop-off in Zagreb or Zadar instead of returning to Split. One-way hourly hires work perfectly for this.
Anywhere: your hotel, the cruise port, the airport, or the Riva promenade. For the old town, we meet at the east or west gate since cars can't enter Diocletian's Palace.
Absolutely. Multi-day hires are popular for couples or groups exploring the coast. We offer daily rates and can arrange accommodation recommendations along the way.
If you want to explore national parks, cross to Bosnia, or visit islands via ferry, a driver saves enormous hassle. No GPS stress, no parking hunt, no ferry booking confusion, and someone to recommend the restaurants that locals actually eat at.
“Our driver took us to Krka early morning before the buses arrived. We had the waterfalls almost to ourselves. Then Šibenik for lunch and Primošten for a swim. Perfect day.”
“We tried renting a car but the insurance for crossing to Bosnia was €75/day extra. Hiring a driver for the Mostar day trip was cheaper and way more enjoyable.”
“Family of 5 with kids aged 4-12. Driver had car seats ready, knew which beaches had shallow water, and found us a restaurant with a playground. Worth every euro.”
