Perast & Our Lady of the Rocks
The jewel of the Bay of Kotor, just 20 minutes from the old town. Perast is a tiny baroque village with stone palaces lining the waterfront. Take a €5 boat ride to the man-made island of Our Lady of the Rocks (€2 church entry) to see centuries of sailor offerings. The shortest and sweetest trip from Kotor.

Kotor to Dubrovnik
Cross the border into Croatia for a full day in the Pearl of the Adriatic. Walk the city walls (€35, go at 8am), explore the old town, kayak around the walls, or take the cable car for sunset views. Scenic coastal drive both ways.

Budva & Sveti Stefan

Lovćen National Park
Drive the serpentine road from Kotor up to Montenegro’s spiritual summit. The Njegos Mausoleum at 1,657m offers views across the entire country — from the coast to the Albanian mountains. Stop at the village of Njeguši for smoked ham and cheese.

The Balkans’ largest lake, straddling Montenegro and Albania. Boat trip through water lilies and fishing villages, bird watching (it’s a national park), wine tasting at Crmnica vineyards, and fresh carp for lunch. The quietest and greenest day trip from Kotor.
