Kravica, Počitelj & Blagaj

The essential Mostar combo. Visit the cascading Kravica Waterfalls (swim in summer), explore the medieval stone village of Počitelj perched on a hillside, and end at the Blagaj Tekija — a Dervish monastery built into a cliff face at the source of the Buna river. All three are within 40 minutes of Mostar.

Mostar to Sarajevo

Bosnia’s capital is a living museum — Ottoman bazaars, Austro-Hungarian boulevards, and the scars and resilience of the 1990s siege. Visit Baščaršija, the Tunnel of Hope, the Latin Bridge, and eat the best burek in the country.

Duration: 10–11 hours | Drive: 2 hrs each way Highlights: Baščaršija, Tunnel of Hope, Latin Bridge, burek and cevapi

Međugorje

One of the world’s most visited Catholic pilgrimage sites. Apparition Hill, St. James Church, and the Risen Christ statue. Whether you’re a pilgrim or simply curious, the town’s atmosphere is unlike anywhere else in Bosnia. A short 30-minute drive from Mostar.

Stolac & Radimlja

One of Bosnia’s oldest settlements with a hilltop fortress, Ottoman-era houses, and the mysterious Radimlja necropolis — medieval tombstones (stećci) that are UNESCO-listed. Almost no tourists. Combine with Počitelj for a full day.

Duration: 5–6 hours | Drive: 45 min each way Highlights: Stolac fortress, Radimlja stećci (UNESCO), old town, river swimming

Trebinje

Herzegovina’s sunniest and most relaxed town. Plane trees, wine cellars, the beautiful Arslanagić Bridge, and the hilltop Hercegovačka Gračanica monastery. Stop at a local winery for Vranac and Žilavka tasting on the way.

Neum & the Coast

Bosnia’s only coastal town — 24km of Adriatic shoreline wedged between Croatian borders. Beach day with Bosnian prices (significantly cheaper than Dubrovnik). Seafood lunch on the waterfront, then back to Mostar by evening.
