Budva’s Venetian Stari Grad to Kotor’s UNESCO-listed walled town — 22 km north along the coast, through the Vrmac ridge, and down into the Bay of Kotor. Thirty minutes, no borders, and the bay opens up in front of you on the descent.
Drive from Budva to Kotor in about 30 minutes. Private transfer from €80 per vehicle, all-inclusive — fuel, English-speaking driver, door-to-door.
Pickup anywhere in Budva — the Old Town Sea Gate, Slovenska Plaza, Bečići or Mogren. Stari Grad is pedestrian behind its walls, so we meet at the harbour-side gate. The coast road runs north past Jaz Beach.
A 1.2 km pebble bay on the way out of Budva, quieter than the town beaches and the site of the summer Sea Dance festival. Two minutes off the road if you want a look at the coast before turning inland.
The road passes Tivat and Porto Montenegro before the 1.6 km Vrmac tunnel cuts through the ridge separating the open Adriatic from Boka Kotorska. The bay appears the moment you come out the other side.
Drop-off at your address — the Old Town Sea Gate, Dobrota along the waterfront, Muo or Prčanj on the western shore. The walled town is car-free inside; the Sea Gate is the main entrance from the quay.
Per vehicle, not per person. All prices include tolls, fuel, luggage handling, water, and child seats on request.

Traveling the other way? Kotor to Budva is the same route in reverse.
Book Kotor → Budva →Budva to Kotor is the reverse of the shortest coastal transfer we run in Montenegro — 22 km, about 30 minutes, entirely domestic. It connects the busiest beach resort on the Montenegrin Riviera to the UNESCO-listed port at the head of Boka Kotorska, inscribed in 1979. The drive is short enough that guests often add a stop and still arrive inside the hour.
The road leaves Budva north past Jaz Beach, runs the coast to Tivat, and then takes the Vrmac tunnel, which saves roughly twenty-five minutes against the old Lovćen mountain road. Traffic can slow around Tivat in summer, mostly airport pickups, and again at the roundabout on the Kotor approach. Otherwise it is well-surfaced the whole way.
Worth building in: Porto Montenegro in Tivat, the superyacht marina built on the old Yugoslav naval yard, is directly on the route. Going the other way round the bay through Perast adds about forty minutes and is the more scenic option if you are not in a hurry — tell the driver before you set off rather than at the tunnel mouth.
Kotor’s old town is entirely pedestrian behind its Venetian walls, so the Sea Gate on the quay is where everyone is dropped. Behind the town the fortifications climb to the San Giovanni fortress, about 1,350 steps up. Currency is the Euro. Tivat Airport is 8 km back down the road if you are flying out.

The walled town is pedestrian-only. We drop at the Sea Gate on the quay, which is the main entrance — most of the town is a few minutes’ walk from there.
Yes. Round the bay through Perast and Risan adds roughly 40 minutes. Tell the driver at pickup so the route is planned for it.
