Montenegro’s capital sits between Lake Skadar and the mountains, forty minutes from the coast and ninety from Albania. Cross into Albania or Kosovo, or head down to the Adriatic — one driver, one fixed price, borders handled.
Podgorica is Montenegro’s capital and its transport crossroads. Podgorica Airport (TGD) is at Golubovci, 12 km south of the centre, and the city sits on the road between the coast and the Albanian border. Most of our guests here are either arriving at TGD and continuing straight on, or finishing a Montenegro trip and heading into Albania or Kosovo.
Albania is close. The Hani i Hotit crossing is about an hour away along the shore of Lake Skadar, which puts Shkodër at 61 km and Tirana at 159 km — two capitals in about two and a half hours. Prizren in Kosovo is a longer day: 249 km via Shkodër and the Kukës motorway, with a second border at Morinë.
Towards the coast, Budva is about 60 km and Tivat 83 km. Public transport covers the main axes but not door-to-door, and cross-border buses are slow and infrequent. A private transfer is the direct option: pickup at your hotel or the airport terminal, one fixed price, and the border paperwork handled by your driver.
