Descend from the Bosnian capital through mountain passes and river gorges to the Adriatic coast. Watch the landscape transform from alpine forests to Mediterranean olive groves as you trade minarets for terracotta rooftops.
Drive from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik in approximately 4h 00m. Private transfer from €380 per vehicle, all-inclusive — fuel, tolls, English-speaking driver, door-to-door.
Your driver collects you from anywhere in Sarajevo—Baščaršija, the Holiday Inn, Ilidža, or directly from Sarajevo Airport (SJJ) if you're flying in. One last Bosnian coffee, then south towards the coast.
The road climbs to 967 metres through dense forest before a dramatic descent into the Neretva valley. On clear days, the panorama from the pass stretches across central Bosnia. Your driver can stop at the viewpoint where the valley opens up below—one of the most spectacular vistas on any Balkan drive.
A charming river town straddling the Neretva, famous for its elegant Ottoman bridge and traditional woodcarving. Walk across the bridge for a photo, browse the artisan workshops, or just stretch your legs by the river. The town also hides Tito's secret Cold War bunker (book separately for a tour).
Bosnia's only coastal town—a 22-kilometre strip of Adriatic shoreline. In summer, stop for a quick swim or a seafood lunch at one of the waterfront restaurants before crossing into Croatia. It's a curious place: Bosnian prices, Croatian-style beaches.
The crossing near Neum is smooth and routine. Your driver handles all documents—stay in the car with passport ready. Typical wait 5–15 minutes. From here, it's a scenic coastal drive south to Dubrovnik.
Arrive at your hotel or apartment anywhere in Dubrovnik—Old Town, Lapad, Ploce, Gruz port, or Dubrovnik Airport (DBV) for an onward flight. Your driver drops you at the door and helps with all luggage.
Per vehicle, not per person. All prices include tolls, fuel, border crossing assistance, luggage handling, water, and child seats on request.

Traveling the other way? Dubrovnik to Sarajevo follows the same route in reverse, climbing from the coast into the mountains with stops at Počitelj and Kravica Waterfalls.
Book Dubrovnik → Sarajevo →Sarajevo to Dubrovnik is one of the Balkans’ great journeys — 270 km across the breadth of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Croatia’s Pearl of the Adriatic. 4h 15m direct, or 7–8 hours with the classic Mostar + Počitelj + Kravica sightseeing stops. Most travellers book this as a one-way transfer completing a Balkan loop (Dubrovnik → Mostar → Sarajevo → back to Dubrovnik) or heading to DBV Airport for a return flight after 2–3 nights in Sarajevo.
Your driver heads south from Sarajevo, climbing out of the Olympic basin over the Ivan Sedlo pass at 950m — the geographic break where central Bosnia transitions into Mediterranean Herzegovina. The road descends along the Neretva river through Konjic and Jablanica (WWII Battle of Neretva bridge), through the Neretva canyon, and into Mostar. South of Mostar the valley opens, passing Počitelj’s Ottoman fortress hill and the Kravica Waterfalls turnoff, before crossing into Croatia at Doljani/Metković. The final stretch is the D8 Adriatic Highway down the Dalmatian coast into Dubrovnik.
Mostar is the natural meal stop — budget 60–90 minutes for Stari Most, the Ottoman bazaar, and a proper lunch at šadrvan or Food House Mostar. Počitelj, cascading down a hillside 35 km south of Mostar, deserves 30 minutes for the Sahat-Kula tower climb and valley views. Kravica Waterfalls (15 km off the main road) is the single-best summer stop — a 25-metre horseshoe fall where swimming is possible June–September. A full Sarajevo–Dubrovnik transfer with all three stops runs 8–9 hours and is one of our highest-rated day experiences.
Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October) are best: mild weather, green Herzegovina, light border queues. Summer is fine but Mostar’s Old Town is crowded 11:00–15:00 and Kravica is often full on August weekends. Winter needs planning — the Ivan Sedlo pass gets snow and fog December–March, adding 30–60 minutes; our drivers use winter tyres October through April. For airport-bound transfers we recommend a 7:00–8:00 AM Sarajevo pickup regardless of season.
Dubrovnik is hemmed in by mountains on one side and the Adriatic on the other. Our driver drops you at any address: Old Town (Pile Gate, Ploče Gate), Lapad, Babin Kuk, Gruž port for cruise or ferry connections, or DBV Airport in Čilipi 21 km south. For flight connections we recommend a minimum 4-hour buffer before international check-in given the single-runway airport operates 15+ daily flights in summer.
Bus runs 1–2 times daily Sarajevo–Dubrovnik, takes 6–8 hours with a change in Mostar, and costs €25–40 per person. No direct train exists. Flying requires connection via Zagreb (6–9 hours door-to-door). Rental cars carry €50–80/day cross-border insurance plus the Ivan Sedlo mountain driving. A private transfer is door-to-door, stops wherever you want (Mostar, Počitelj, Kravica), fixed-price with all tolls and border processing included, and for 2+ passengers is usually competitive on price per person versus bus + inter-city taxi combinations.

Approximately 4 hours (270 km) direct. With stops at Konjic and Neum, add 30–45 minutes. One border crossing from Bosnia into Croatia near Neum.
A mountain pass at 967 metres with dense forest and sweeping valley views. The road is well-maintained and your driver knows every curve. In winter there may be snow, but the road is always ploughed and safe. It's the most dramatic section of the drive.
Yes—Konjic has several excellent riverside restaurants serving Bosnian cuisine. Your driver can recommend a spot. Allow 45–60 minutes for a sit-down meal, or 15–20 minutes for a walk and photos.
You cross from Bosnia into Croatia near Neum. Stay in the car—your driver handles everything. EU, UK, US, Canadian, and Australian citizens enter Croatia visa-free. Typical wait is 5–15 minutes.
Yes. Dubrovnik Airport (DBV) is along the coastal road south of the city. We drop you at departures at no extra charge if you're catching a flight the same day. Just mention it when booking.
An early departure (7–8 AM) beats any border traffic and gets you to Dubrovnik by lunchtime. But we operate 24/7—any time works. Evening transfers arrive to a beautiful sunset over the Old Town walls.
"The drive over Ivan Sedlo was breathtaking. Our driver stopped at the viewpoint and we could see the entire Neretva valley below. Then the moment you see the Adriatic after hours of mountains—incredible."
"We stopped in Konjic to see the old bridge and grab lunch by the river. Authentic Bosnian food, beautiful setting, and our driver knew exactly where to go. Dubrovnik by late afternoon. Perfect day."
"Our flight landed at Sarajevo at 6 AM and the driver was already there. Slept the first hour, woke up to stunning mountain views. By noon we were walking the walls in Dubrovnik. Seamless transfer."
