The drive runs south-west out of Mostar and across the karst plain of southern Herzegovina — vineyards, scattered villages and limestone hills — before turning off onto a local road for the last few kilometres to the Kravica entrance. Depending on the line the driver takes it is roughly 46 to 54 km, about an hour.
There are no border crossings on this route — both Mostar and Kravica are in Bosnia & Herzegovina. The roads are paved throughout. In summer, especially at weekends, the final approach to Kravica can be slow with parking traffic; we plan the timing around that.
If you're combining with Počitelj, we loop back via Čapljina and the M17 road rather than returning the same way. That adds about 25 minutes of driving but lets you see two of southern Herzegovina's best stops in one day without doubling back.
Kravica alone is a half-day. With drive time and 2 hours at the falls, you're looking at about 5 hours door-to-door from Mostar. That's perfect if you want morning swimming and an afternoon back in Mostar to walk Stari Most and the Kujundžiluk bazaar.
