Mount Dajti rises straight above Tirana to the east, and the drive to the Dajti Ekspres lower station takes only about 25 minutes from the centre. It's the easiest escape from the city — you're at the foot of the mountain almost before you've left the suburbs.
The cable car climbs about 800 metres up the forested slope in some 15 minutes, with the whole city and the plain spreading out below and, on a clear day, the Adriatic in the distance. At the top there's a national-park plateau with pine woods and easy walking trails, viewpoints, a couple of restaurants and a small adventure park — a cool contrast to the city in summer.
Because it's private and close to town, this is a flexible half-day: linger over lunch with the view, take a short forest walk, then come back down when you're ready. Your driver waits at the base and brings you home door-to-door. It pairs easily with Bovilla or Krujë for a fuller day — just ask.
